If you’re looking to be transported to one of the most traditional and scenic parts of the country, look no further than our Day Tour of Dingle. Leaving everyday from Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Killarney, the Dingle Peninsula offers passengers an insight into how Ireland was before the arrival of English. It is situated in the Kerry Gaeltacht and Irish is still the main day to day language. Not only this but Dingle is situated in a place of extraordinary natural beauty. The drive along the Slea Head coastal road is famed for its sea views.

Just like our Ring of Kery and Cliffs of Moher Day Tours, Dingle starts early and finishes late. That is because we want to pack as many of the Dingle Peninsula’s sights into one day as possible. Your first stop will be Killarney for a look at the beautiful lake district and Killarney National Park. Here you can walk have a walk around the grounds of Muckross House and Torc Waterfall, before you continue your Day Tour to Inch Beach and Ventry. Inch Beach is famed as an international surfing hotspot and if the weather allows it we highly recommend you go for a swim, your driver may even join you! 🙂 Ventry is a beautiful seaside village just beyond the woods of Burnham. It is also the site of one of the most beautiful coastal routes in Ireland. Perched on the side of the Dunbeg Fort, the Slea Head drive out of Ventry is spectacular and you can even see the spray of the ocean on the windows of the bus.

After the Slea Head Drive your tour will pass Coolae, known as the departure point for the famous Blasket Islands, which can be seen in the distance. It was also the site of many monastic settlements and many of the beehive shaped huts from that era are still standing. Probably the best photo opportunity on any of our Day Tours is the view from the Slea Head Grotto and we make a lengthy stop here.

Of course the main attraction of your Day Tour is the town of Dingle, also known as An Daingean. Dingle is situated in the heart of the peninsula and the bay around it is rich in marine life, a great place for a boat ride. Nowadays it is known as a center of the arts and is a regular host of the internationally renowned Other Voices independent music festival. As with our Ring of Kerry Day Tour, many passengers choose to stay in Dingle at the end of the day and return the following day with the next tour. As per usual we are also happy to help you with your travel to anywhere else in Ireland that you may be going.
