TOUR:

Heading west from Dublin with a midway stop for coffee and refreshments, we arrive at our amazing coastline.  We have wonderful views of Dunguaire Castle and the beautiful fishing village of Kinvara, famed for its traditional Irish Galway hooker boats.

This well preserved abbey is picturesquely sited among the grey hills of the Burren and best known for its lonely situation.  Nestled in the pass of Oughtmara and dedicated to St. Coleman, the early monks give us an idea of how they sought out isolated areas and maintained themselves free from contact with outside society.

We drive along the beautiful Atlantic coast and take you off the beaten path to the famous Baby Cliffs.   These amazing hidden treasures are spectacular and a big surprise to many of our visitors.  Smaller than their big cousins-the Cliffs of Moher, they are an ideal spot to view whales and dolphins when they are in our Atlantic waters.

We drive along the rugged Burren lanscape, a limestone and fossil lunar rocklike formation, stretching as far as the eye can see with amazing flora and fauna..  So rugged that Cromwell once remarked, "Not enough water to drown a man, wood enough to hang one, nor earth enough to bury him." A most unique and inspirational experience!

We lunch at the beautiful fishing village of Doolin and surf town of Fanore.  We travel around Black Head, a most inspiring and dramatic coastal drive, with fantastic photo opportunities.

Finally we arrive at the highlight of the journey-the Cliffs of Moher! Standing 214m high at the highest point, they range for 8 kms over the Atlantic Ocean.  O'Brien's Tower stands proudly on a headland with fantastic views of the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, the Twelve Pins, and Loop Head.

Lastly, we take a photo stop at Bunratty Castle, the most complete medieval fortress in Ireland before returning to  Dublin after an inspiring day on Ireland's western shores.

“We experienced Giant’s Causeway with Ronan today and without doubt, it was the best tour we have ever been on. “RoRo” was a phenomenal guide. He is so knowledgable but also funny and quick-witted. Having such an intimate group in the 16 seat van made all the difference, and we will certainly join you again when we return. Can’t say enough about the tour, the company, and Ronan. Cheers!
