Beaches on the Dingle Peninsula

Ireland is known for it’s beautiful beaches throughout but, nowhere in the country has more variety and choice than the Dingle Peninsula which is renowned for it’s pristine beaches. Here are just a few of these stunning locations that cannot be missed.  


Inch Beach Known for it’s beauty and being a popular spot with angler and surfers alike, it is also a popular swimming spot. There are surf schools, wetsuit hire and water sports equipment available for hire.   

Coomenoole If dramatic views are your thing then look no further than Coomenoole. It is the closest beach to Slea Head and was used as one of the locations featured in the film ‘Ryans Daughter’.

Clogher Strand This small and stoney beach provides amazing views of the Blasket Islands. This beach is beautiful and provides some very dramatic views, but keep in mind that it is not safe to swim in.

Ventry Located beside the beautiful village of Ventry, this long sandy beach is ideal for swimming. Wetsuits and water sports equipment can be hired here.

Ferriter’s Cove This small bay is a big part of the archaeological history that Dingle is so rich in. Here evidence was found of human occupation during the mesolithic era.
